Cape Town practical

Cape Town is a place where European visitors like to go, especially in the Southern hemisphere summer months. It is a beautiful and easy-going city with spectacular views; long walks and road trips by the ocean make it a memorable destination.A taxi from the airport to the hotel costs between 300-400 rand. Since credit cards are preferred everywhere in the city, you do not need to carry a lot of money. If you want to pay in USD or Eur, most places don't accept it - except maybe a few tourist shops. When you change foreign currency, you must have your passport with you.You can choose transportation mostly for Uber. Taking a taxi from the road is considered quite dangerous. You can also take a taxi from the hotel you are staying at - which costs much more. Public transportation is also not recommended for safety reasons. It's best to use the red hop on hop off tourist bus; two or three-day tickets are both affordable and allow you to hop on and off at many destinations. If you prefer the V&A Waterfront for accommodation, you can walk to the starting points of many activities. It is a place that will satisfy you with food and beverage options from every budget and every cuisine. Although the hotels in the city center are more affordable, the Waterfront area is more recommended due to safety issues. We recommend The Commodore hotel in the 4* category at the V&A Waterfront. You should try the Athletic Social Club with its fine dining and jazz club concept, and Truth Café for coffee. If you want to tour Cape Town comprehensively, it is useful to spend at least five nights.Table Mountain on the first day, followed by a walking tour, staying in the center and the District Museum. Second day Camps Bay, by boat from Hout Bay to fog island. Third day, Cape of Good Hope, continuing to Simon's Town, Boulders Beach. Kirstenboch Botanical Gardens on day four, Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art on the Waterfront in the afternoon. On the fifth day, drive outside the city to visit the vineyards in Stellenbosh and Franchowk. If you are a lover of outdoor activities, you can participate in many activities such as canoeing, boat tours and cycling. If you have more time in South Africa, you can include the coastline 'Garden Route' or Kruger National Park in your program.
